I have a question

....is it normal to not want to make the same type of soap more than once? Surely it can't be good for business. What do I tell my customers when they're looking for that ONE bar that they've fallen in love with? Ah - sorry, that one's boring so I won't be making it again, but here's something else you might like to try ONCE!
Maybe I need counselling......

It's completely normal to go 'off' your own designs....I'm the same! I don't repeat my designs unless upon request. :)

Hi! I think it's totally normal. I have the same situation with my sugar scrubs...one year I made a wonderful citrus scented scrub that my relatives fell in love with and they kept asking for more. It's been years and they still ask about it. I get joy out of my 'exclusive' bath creations and now they know to stock up when I make something.

How about adding to your soap descriptions..."exclusive" or "limited edition scent" so they'll know to buy more. Or you could always make double the amount in one sitting and then never go back. :)

Right, I think life would be a bit boring if the "flavors" were the same, but on that same note I think you should have a set seasonal Flavors that you bring back year after year(the number one seller!!!). That way it creates excitement!!(kind of like Starbucks every year around this time they bring back pumpkin spice so all year I wait for Oct. just so I can have that flavor; and I drink it everyday so I can get my kick, and also because I know it will be pulled off the menu in DEC.) What I mean is you may bring back pumpkin(The Pilots fav.LOL:)) around Oct. so we can await in excitement and know that we will only be able to purchase in Oct. and then pull it off until next year. That might create a shot of sales for you as well "wouldn't that be marvelous?"
Of course this is only an idea!!!
You are doing a great job!!! cumming up with great "flavors" specially with all those newly purchased oils. Let's see what you will come up with next...LOL All your flavors sound delicious. I wish we had smellsites...HUMMMMM!!!!that's a thought!

I'm so bad about making one thing (a wristlet or something) out of a certain fabric and then not wanting to make another! Bath & body products that are "exclusive" are always fun...you have to stock up while you can! ; )
