I hate to complain

especially during these tough economic times BUT damn if this boss of mine at work isn't trying to break me. I can wholeheartedly say that this week has been the roughest week of my 30 working years.

I've always believed that one should not be miserable at work. If I'm not happy, I leave and go elsewhere - simple. To me, it's not worth being unhappy for 8 hours x 5 days a week. That's a huge chunk of our lives being wasted on feeling bad.

What's different now? There's no place to go. This creates an even more frustrating situation because I'm now forced to suck it up, shut up and deal!

Come on 'Bama - let's get this show on the road. I need for this economy to get back on track, like NOW!

God bless you! I had a terrible time of it last year with my ex boss's wife...she was a total bitch and in the end I had to leave because i was actually being sick before setting off to that god-forsaken shit of a job. I get it, at the mo finances are really crap...but look to the future...it always gets better. nothing EVER stays the same. Be strong, and if that person is taking the piss, then you bloody well tell them. These people do not rule your world, you do x

I completely feel for you. Hating your job is just about the worst feeling in the world. The feeling of dread at night before sleep when you set the alarm, the dread when you wake up...the entire morning before you get there, and then the shit storm and misery while your there. I am so sorry. I have been there. Hopefully you can figure out a way to change your situation without putting yourself in a bad financial crisis. I got a fortune from a fortune cookie that I keep on my fridge... I look at it daily as if it has powers ;)... it says: "You are the master of every situation."

Now I'm Confucius. Hehe

Stay positive! I know that is really hard to do when you are in a shitty job situation and feel stuck. There will be other opportunities out there, it just might take a while. Do something nice for yourself everyday and watch Office Space ; ).

Thanks guys! You are all the BEST. I do feel better (sort of) - especially because I took today off and spent it doing all things crafty. I even....wait for it....did some SEWING! Gasp, horror! It was the best day in forever and I didn't think about work even once!

I hear ya sister... Some day you're going to be a soap makin' super star! Okay, well... you already are. But, one of these days you'll be able to tell the boss man to take this job and shove it!
:D

The most horrible thing is having to work at a place you hate. Hang in there. Did he take everyone out for ice cream just to burst the bubble later?
Good to know you're feeling better! Keep going....

Alana...Office Space. God, I love that film. How funny is the kid in the car at the start when he's rapping...!

I soooo hear ya. I like what I do, like the people I work with but the work environment here lately created by upper management makes me wish I could find something else.

I fully understand where you are coming from.

I actually had a job a few years ago which i truly hated. Every day the boss was at me and not only that he used to give me the most tedious jobs available.

The problem carried on for well over a year by which time i was not eating, cound not sleep and it ended with me being very sick.

I finally left my job a little time later and was worried that i would not be able to find other work but i did a week later and know i am happy in my work and my life has totally turned around.
