Remember when I said....
...thatI loved July?
Well it turns out there was a reason. The month started off on a lovely note with the Trunkt front page but then my Etsy shop started dying a slow and painful death. Seriously, I could see the tumbleweed blowing across the shop floors. For the 1st time EVER I had no sales for days and days. Somehow though I wasn't too worried or panicked -not sure why either. The good thing about that though is that I have managed to wean myself of that horrible Etsy addiction and it sure feels good. I actually did laundry AND housework all in 1 day (totally unheard of for me). Next thing you know I'll be cooking meals - scarey thought!
Anyway, I've digressed so I'll go back to the reason for this post. July has turned out to be one of the most exciting for me business-wise. I placed an ad on Craigs List. Just a short one with no links or anything that could get me banned. I put the 1st ad up on Sunday and before the end of the day I got an email enquiring about wholesale in my area. This is a shop that I've been dreaming of having my products in!! The following week, I repeated the ad again and by Monday I got an email from another business enquiring about wholesale but on a seriously huge scale (huge for me at least). That same day I received an email from an individual in California (a fairly well reputed perfumer) who is opening a store this week and wants to feature up and coming B &B'ers. She placed her order and without any delay I shipped it off to her. This weekend I will be meeting with the 2nd lady as she's local so we can go over my products and crunch some numbers. Wish me luck peoples - although I have a funny feeling I won't need it, it is July after all :-)
