When I first returned to the UK I visited Brighton for the first time in eons. I found it quite strange that people were laying out on what at first glance appeared to be sand but was actually 'rocks'. Brighton has NO sand. At All! it's all rocks and pebbles. What a strange bunch the English are, I thought to myself, yet here I am 7 years later laying on the rocks at Brighton 'Beach'. I guess I'm one of the funny bunch now :-)
