Yes, I know what I said

....when I swore up and down that I was thru with making body butters, and how relieved I felt about my decision to not sell them this winter. Well...

..you all KNOW how expensive mango butter is right? The stuff is crazy expensive. Well, stupid me placed an order for 10lb of Mango butter recently. It was such a painful thing to have to do considering that I only use it for soap making. I bit the bullet and purchased it along with more shea butter and some other oils. Don't you know that the day after the order was placed and paid for, I discovered an unopened 10lb box of mango butter in my ingredients closet!! At that moment I had an overwhelming urge to punch myself in the gut.

So - here we are. The only way I could shift all that butter was to go back to body butter making.

I must admit, this year it doesn't seem to be such a painful experience. Maybe because I've branched out on the flavors and also am now offering them in larger 4oz jars. I figure if I sell the larger sizes, people won't want them so often. You reckon it'll work like that?

What a shame to order extra Mango butter. Lord knows, I've done something similar before! It does sound (and looks) delicious

NO. The more you make, the more they'll want it. Don't you know by now, missy???

That looks unreal. I wish I had the time and patience to make mine so pretty. AND you work another job too. You are amazing. Too bad you are so far away. :(

Oh, dear. You're a prisoner of your own talent! If you're Body Butters weren't so incredibly appealing than you'd be free, but alas they are gorgeous, just like everything else you make... so you're doomed! :) By the way, I wanted to let you know that I featured your Honeysuckle Cupcakes on the Natural Beauty Workshop Blog yesterday. XOXO

Joanna - I'm not going to tell you how many more batches of body butters I've made since the 1st load. OMG!!!! Now I just have to get them shifted so I can retire them permanently :)

LOL!! I have double ordered so many things;) It is so horrible when you realize what you did after the fact eh?!

I love the way your butter looks! What do you use to get it in the jars like that? An icing tube? I can't seem to get mine in to the jars well because it is so thick. That's why I gave up on doing it too ;) LOL!

SoapRevolution - I stick a frosting tip in a ziploc bag, snip the end off, fill the bag with the butter and squeeze away. Just make sure the frosting tip is LARGE otherwise you'll develop arm muscles you never knew existed - LOL!
Good luck!!

looks good, don't worry you will use all the mango butter. It will fly out the door. I did that recently with Ewax. Doh.
