Goodness Gracious

I've been super busy lately - hence my absence from my blog. I'll give a quick run down of what I've been up to.

Yesterday I had my first vending event of the year. I support a local charity here in CT called "The C.H.A.I.N. Fund" They're a wonderful organization that raises money throughout the year to help pay bills of patients undergoing cancer treatment who are struggling financially. Yesterday, they had their "Breakfast & A Movie" morning and I set up my table in the movie theatre and sold my buns off! All "Pink Sugar" scented products that I sell, 50% of the proceeds is donated to The C.H.A.I.N Fund. A noble cause don't you think?

Next big news (for me at least) - I actually started organizing my products. After getting home from the movies, instead of hauling all those products back upstairs, I decided to set them up downstairs. We're re-doing my daughter's bedroom and she had this piece of furniture in there that she had outgrown. I took it and brought it downstairs to the living room and arranged my products in it. Doesn't it look like a little shop?

Here's some serious good news - On Thursday evening, I got an email from an individual from "Women for Hire". She stated that she found my shop on Etsy and was interested in having my products at their next event - which by the way is this coming Thursday. My products would have to be in her possession in NYC by Tuesday March 25th!!! YIKES! After a few emails back and forth, she placed her wholesale order via email. Of course being the "yes" person that I am, I assured her I could do it. After the order was placed, I sat on the couch staring into space while wondering what the Universe was up to. Husband walks in, looks at me and says "what are you doing? get moving, you've got work to do" Boy was he right - I worked right up until 1:30am Friday morning, went to bed, was back up again at 4:15am and completed that order, packaged it up and it was out the door that afternoon! The entire time I kept reciting to myself - "Sharon - it ain't no fun if it ain't last minute" LOL.

Next good news - Friday morning I received an email from an on-line beauty magazine wanting to feature my lovely soaps. They requested photos and a bio. You bet your sweet ninny goat that I'll be sending over my details. Of course I had to ask the lady if it could wait until Sunday. I need to completely put out the immediate fire I had roaring plus finish getting ready for my vending event on Saturday morning.

So - there you have it. I've been busy, nutty busy.

Happy Easter :)
